Geriatrics is the medical discipline dealing with the pathologies of the elderly. Although an arbitrary age threshold of 75 is usually agreed upon, the geriatric state is more a general consideration (polypathologies, polytreatments, loss of autonomy, specific problems) than a consideration of age.
